About Dr. Missy Tasky
Dr. Tasky graduated from Auburn University with a degree in veterinary medicine in 1991. She practiced for nearly a decade in emergency and general practice before establishing start-up practice, Gentle Touch Animal Hospital in 2000 and since then, growing the hospital into a 3 doctor $2.5M business. In addition, Dr. Tasky has been a medical coach for Blue Heron Consulting since 2017. She also currently serves as President of the Sierra Veterinary Medical Association. Previous roles and affiliations include; Service as an area director and treasurer for the Denver Area Veterinary Medical Society; chairing the continuing education committee for the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association and the Sierra Veterinary Medical Association; founding Board Member for the Colorado Pet Pantry (a non-profit organization dedicated to providing pet food for people who cannot afford food for their pets); membership in the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Management Groups. Dr. Tasky was chair of her veterinary management group during the first year of the group’s inception. She has also volunteered her time to assist with the Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine interview process for veterinary school applicants. Dr. Tasky lives with her family in Denver Colorado.
